We stayed at a place called Lone Star Campground, near Bear Butte Mountain. Good power, good water, nice showers and bathrooms. Beer was cold, coffee hot, prices ok.

Thinking about going this year, looked at this Shade Valley, looks good, anyone else been here?

 

After 4 trips up and a few camp grounds, my vote now is for Shade Valley where we stayed last year. They had a tent set up, electricity, a fan, a light and mattress set up and ready to go. When we were done we just left it sitting there. We road from Texas and not having to haul a tent was sweet. Clean restrooms, hot water and good bands.
