Buying a Harley

RE: Buying a Harley
NO...although don't expect more much of a break. Plan on MSRP+Shipping ($260)+Dealer/Doc fees ($277 where I live). I was able to get about $700 off the "final price" (MSRP and options[factory security system] plus shipping and doc fees) on a new 07. Most dealers would "drop the doc fee" but not anything else. On an 06 they were willing to take about $1000 off the "final price."

I was born in Norway, and moved to England 7 years ago, so would just like to know what the price is like on a Sportster 1200 in the USA. Would be interesting to compare and see how much different they are, especially since the prices in Norway could include alot of tax.....

RE: Buying a Harley
Did you happen to check in at Rossmeyer Harley up in Daytona/Ormond Beach. That must be the biggest Harley dealer in the world. They had a row of sporties as far as the eye could see. In fact I may have a picture from my vacation down there the first of the year.
I can't believe with that inventory they would not deal on a sporty. Most folks that buy a sporty trade them within a short time for a full size Harley, so they tell me. Suggest you give them a serious offer with the money down at 10% under sticker and see what happens!
