Damn, so you have more posts than miles?

I average 12-15k. This year I only have 9k on the bike I bought in April has only 9k on it, but I haven't been able to ride due to being ill and having surgery for about 8 weeks. I have taken a few smaller rides recently, and am looking to do some longer rides if the weather permits.

Started riding again after skipping 20 years raising a couple families, have two Sporters, 2000 C 87,000, and a 2006 R 78,000, in the last ten years. Not to bad for a Great Grandpa.

I would say most people are simply guessing.

I have recorded all the mileage on the bikes I've owned since I was 17. I know, strange habit but it's in my maintenance records. I simple add the mileage up, divid it by years I've been riding, and I get 5,071 miles per year.

Not bad for 28 years of riding. Some years are alot more than others, some are none due to military obligations and assignments. Other years are alot !!
