I bought a icon airframe helmet. They are really light, keeps my head nice and warm in cooler weather and its nice and breathable in the summer with the vents you can open up on it.

Take a look at the FXRG line on ebay, just search FXRG Helmet. Wife and I both wear them during the cold weather.

I've bought helmets online, if you have the chance, go to where your can put them on first hand. I'm fairly close, so I plan on going to jp this winter to get good fitting lids for the wife and I. The size scale in the catalogs vary sooo much. If you can get first hand fit, that's the way to go. imho. Kinda like buying boots or shoes from a catalog, you'll spend weeks getting the right fit, the lasts are all different for all makes.

Also, check your local swap meets. They are everywhere in the wintertime, and you can often find brand new discontinued helmets there for cheeep.

I got a Shoei X-11 a while back for around $300. In addition to being light, it has excellent aerodynamics which is what really matters at 80 MPH.
