I'm thinking of getting a new helmet. Only because my crappy Bell helmet peeled and then faded after just 4 yrs. And I like the new H-D helmet with the skulls on it. But do the harley helmets last any longer ?

I don't have any scientific info on this, but, you could always sand it off and have new paint put on. Why have a helmet like everyone else? my .02.

No. Harley does not make it's own helmets. They last no longer than others, and the paint scratches just as fast.

You should be replacing a helmet after five years anyway - that's all they are meant to last.

30 to 40 years ago, I'd say yes. But H-D don't make their own helmets.

The HD helmets I own are made by HJC. The only differance is the decals and you can buy them. I buy my helmets at our local Honda dealership and save a lot of money.
