For those that have the desire, Lake Itaskas, the head waters of the big muddy is about 3 hours away. I can say I walked accrosse the mississippi, kinda anti-climatic when you see it, but still a cool ride. Slow and leisurely ride. Something to consider if you come from aways away. Just to say you did it!! Its about 1.5 ft deep and 12 ft. or so wide, still kinda neat. Certainly not the only attractions in the area.

 

I could atleast try to make it. Sounds like a healthy road trip.

 

Let me see... an excuse to travel by bike, be with like minded people, and have a brew... yes!

 

oh im in for the long haul, i put it up on here there is no turning back now.this is however an HDF party and do need HELP from members to make this happen succesfully.

I am lookin at a couple of BARS in the area to give biusness too. one EDGE TOWN BAR is very open to the idea evan offered to buy the pig for the roast (we will see).they have a few small areas for camping if needed. all in all they are very BIKER friendly.

 

How's your town set for hotels?

 

I will try & make it. Where are you. I live about 7 miles out of hurley. The first week of june should be good. The guy that says hes coming from the UP, should meet up with me in Hurley/ Ironwood area & we can ride down together. If you have a good turn out I can put a party on here maybe the next year. I have a hunting camp & 40 arces peple can camp on.

 

Looks like about 1200 miles from the panhandle of Texas. I love an excuse to make a roady. I will be watching for details.
