That is one of my greatest fears. Over the years I have hit four at different times and all in a cage. I can't imagine what would happen if I'm on my scoot. Can't imagine!!! My prayers go out to the riders family.

Deer are bad in the Midwest. Local government where my 'rents live held a bow contest and the 5 best shooters are getting open license for a certain time period (weeks I think) to get as many as they can. Dunno if the meat is being donated to a shelter or just to the dog food company.

Very sad. I almost got taken out on I-295 in Rhode Island a couple of months ago.
I was riding in the right lane when an elderly person I saw walking up the
breakdown lane towards me did a 90 degree right turn in front of me onto the
highway. I missed him by a few feet. A couple of seconds difference and I
would have hit him. Scared the crap out of me! I looked in my mirror and he
continued across all lanes of traffic and wasn't hit. That in itself was unbelievable.

My prayers go out to his family.

Deer are the bane of the motoring public. Prayers for the motorcyclists family.

We have tons of deer here in my area. It's especially bad this time of year when they are getting ready to go into rut, they really move around alot and not just at night. We usually have deer hunting first part of November, it's Sat & Sun one week and Fri Sat Sun Mon the next week. This year cause there are SO MANY deer the DNR has made a 9 straight day hunting season. It sucks cause I will have idiots in orange all around me for 9 whole days and I worry about someone shooting one of my horses or dogs! I do hope though that it will help lessen the deer population around here cause I really would hate to whack a bambi on my scoot!!

That is sad. Living in northern Wisconsin we have a sh it load of deer. Hit 4 in the last 5 years with the car. Worst part is all but one was in the middle of the day. Makes people think about there surroundings more thats for sure.
