Road King: Custom, Standard, Classic
#51
I initially wanted a Classic and back when I was shopping in '07 you got the most for your money with the Classic. But the more I looked and thought about it, I started really liking the Custom. It reminded me of a Fatboy, which I always liked, but in the touring family.
I am pretty much completely opposite from dickey, who posted earlier, in what I like about the Custom and don't like about the Classic. I like the clean front fender on the Custom, I like the chrome nacelle cover, I prefer solid wheels to spoke wheels, I don't want whitewall tires (too hard to keep clean), and I like the lower suspension and look of the Custom.
They are all three very good and I would not walk away from any of them but I still like the RK Custom the best. In fact, it is my favorite late model Harley.

Drivers Seat for 2006 Road King Custom
I have a 2006 Road King custom. I am researching, before i invest, if anyone has attempted to place a drivers seat between a two piece driver and passenger seat. I see there is a small space between both seats. I am searching for anyone that has actually placed or perhaps modified and placed a drivers seat between these two orginal seats... Or would anyone know if a standard drivers seat simply work? Ride on brothers!!

I cant dad gumed believe that Ive been dumb enough
to read 51 post that is 7 months old. well I guess if im
that crazy i might as well say what is on my mind.
In March of 07 harley had been on strike and the
pickings were dang thin I wanted a yellow road king
custom but i was spitting in one hand and wishing in
the other so you can see i wound up with a classic
and you can see what I tried to make it look like. and
the January-March burgndy & cream custom color is
awesome with true gold leaf lettering
