Default 1972 "Cop Bike"

Wife just asked me what a 1972 "Cop Bike" was worth. Seems a lending institution she used to work for just repo'd one today. Don't know what model that would be and haven't tried to research it, but it will definitely be for sale if someone is interested. I'll get more info if somebody is seriously interested. (I figure it must be in pretty good shape or they wouldn't have taken it in as collateral to begin with)

Key to what it is worth depends largely on what kind of shape it is in...or not. See if she can get some pics and you can post them here. You should get a lot of responses.

He could have bought it used and financed it. Mine's a '92 and I got a loan on it because I bought it used from the stealership.

KBB for a 1972 Electraglide is $4000 wholesale and $5500 retail in good shape. Depending on the condition and options, you can determine the value of the police bike on that baseline.

"It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas"
