Huh, Since when. All you need is Windows Movie Maker Live.

 

You do not need to buy editing software. It will play on Windows media just fine. But I bought the editing software so I can add music and cut some of the video out. The Go Pro is a great memory maker for your trip!!

 

well, nick said it doesn't work with windows movie maker (which is what I have)

Yeah, don't know about WMM Live but maybe it has the right codecs so it will import GoPro files, but I know for a fact the program that comes bundled with Windows won't.

 

We just bought a package at Costco for $179- was the best price we could find.
