Dang. Glad you are ok. That was a helluva ride. I keep laughing as I was reading just picturing you stagger over to your bike like a drunken sailor over and over again. Good stuff.
I'm sure you'll find a way to be back on that bike before you need to be.
ps...Chics dig scars.

That is as good as I've read on here. And, you're in some pretty good company, what with Iron ***'s write up of the Hoka Hey Challenge and Stroh's Motor Officer school story.
Glad you are okay. Hope you write many more, but, maybe without having to crash first.

OP:
Glad you're okay and thanks for the entertaining tale!

Gazz, my son was injured in a wicked car accident and almost lost his arm. Now he proudly wears a t-shirt that proclaims "Chicks Dig Scars". So maybe things will look up for you. Glad you're okay.

well written
That was some kinda good luck you had w/ all the help you got, and w/ just needing a few stitches.
You may believe that your sister's good luck came to you w/through her gifts: the charm & helmet. Maybe that's what saved you from some even worse fate. But many also believe that a man makes his own luck. And, except for helmet choice, you were otherwise well prepared (gear-wise) for "playing" in the twisties. You were fortunate that impact was @ such a low speed!
Thanks for sharing your story. I really enjoyed the reading. And you have given me food for thought.
Heal well.

Great post, thanks. Its always good for a little reminder, though it sux you had to go through it. I think one point everyone is missing though, What did the nurse look like?
Seriously, glad you came through as well as you did, hope the ride fares as well.
