Jf I have the time I always go thru the gears down to 1st....it is fun and I like to hear the motor as I shift the gears...

meh...some , if its a normal type stop I pop into neutral while still rolling a bit so I can stop smoothly and put both feet down. If I got to stop fast I just push in the clutch and hit the brakes , one foot down when stopped no big deal. then I decide if I want to be in neutral or not

I suggest you keep your front brake and not go straight into a suicide set-up...not trying to be a know it all, but one adjustment at a time lol

If I know it's going to be a long light I'll put it in "N", otherwise I'll keep it in 1st.
