One-Piece Detachable Passenger Sissy Bar Upright
Has anyone installed the one-piece detachable passenger sissy bar (H-D Part #51146-10)? I'd like to install it on my 2008 Sportster 1200 Roadster. The instructions say a docking point kit is required. Not really sure what a docking point really is, other than presumably to mount either the sissy bar and/or saddlebags. I already have a different sissy bar (see attached picture) that came with the bike, but it seems to be a different mounting arrangement. The instructions don't say which docking point kit is needed. I guess it depends on whether you have a hard mount saddlebags or not. But I'm wondering if I'll also need to relocate my turn signals.
Any advice you all can give will be appreciated. Thanks.
Here's a link to the part on the H-D web site, which contains downloadable instructions with a diagram showing the installation.
