I think what we're seeing happen here is the good old cultural rift between middle class white bread Polly Anna up bringing and people who grew up in the other part of town . Calling the man a freak and the risk cracks only shouts this all the louder . Personally I can tell you it takes a man to do the walk he did , so he had some ink and his old lady was what 90% of you guys secretly dream of having a shot at but have a snow ***** chance in hell outside of a skin mag hidden from your wives .

RamAir is right make those wise *** remarks on the wrong street you'll never see the hand that knocks you out . Respect , get some .

Don't care what anyone says, I think he was the real deal.

I thought I was going to finally meet Indian Larry, just by chance. My wife and I lived in Florida at the time, and we were on a road trip to North Carolina, avoiding another Hurricane. We got to the town of Cherokee and there was an outdoor bike show winding down. Since they were tearing everything down, we were allowed to just walk in. Off in the distance, I saw an Indian Larry bike and booth. It was the Tiki Bike. As I got closer, I saw a black wreath next to it with an R.I.P. ribbon and a picture of Larry. WTF? The guy tearing down the display told me that Larry had just died. It was either 1 or 2 weeks prior (I can't remember, exactly). I couldn't believe it.

Not on very machine but on what ever one that they want a certain style.
I wouldn't care if they make the engine too, and refine the metal from raw ^*$%^% ore - I just don't like any bike I've ever seen of theirs. Right now there is one sitting at my local Harley dealer (not likely it suddenly sold) and the attention to detail is crap, from the paint to the cables, etc.

Like I said, if he had been the kind of minivan driving suburban chicken$#!+ that thinks like this, we wouldn't even know his name. There's more to life than just staying alive and safe as long as possible.

Your comments lacked any sort of class whatsoever and also lacked respect for a man deceased ...

He has many fans and much respect , he accomplished things the old fashioned way and just deserves that recognition ..not to be called a circus freak..

I've seen many of your posts and I don't know how a troll like you gets to as many posts as you have without being booted ...

I don't think anyone is putting him on a pedestal. I think most of us respect him from over coming problems and addictions. Then getting it together and building some really cool bikes. He attained some fame and didn't let it go to his head. He was still willing to talk and hang out with the general public. He was known for his stunt riding and was performing when he took the fatal fall. He was a showman and he knew of the risks and took them. There are alot of performers who take risks everyday. Just because you sustain a serious injury does not necessary make it a dumb move. Anyway I for one will miss the guy.

This whole topic started with someone simply stating some feelings after seeing the biker build-off with Indian Larry. The last film cut of him before his unfortunate death. So many years later, you watch that episode, and you find yourself in awe that he was still doing things nobody thought of when it came to building bikes. That is what I thought of when I saw that episode.

Call me an internet tuff-guy, keyboard commando, or what not. But, I'd say the same I typed here face to face. I feel nobody here has put Indian Larry on a pedistial; only reflected on the things he built and what a shame he is not around to build other creations. You attacked him, a dead man, called him stupid. Only to attempt to back it by saying (typing) the called himself stupid, yeah, for going to jail not surfing his motorcycle.

He died entertaining his fans at a motorcycle rally. Not on a highway going to the rally. Everytime I see the "helmet no helmet" thread it all starts...agruements about the government, and personal choice. He chose to do the stunts without a helmet; his choice.

Calling his wife and him circus freaks was uncouth; it shows your true nature. I would rather have 1 Indian Larry as a friend then 100 of you.

You never made a dumb move in your entire life ? Also I don't recall anyone in this forum saying THEY would hit you , I do recall a couple of post's mentioning if dumb **** was spoken in the wrong neighborhood people THERE would very happily tune you up . Some people were a true Icon of a era , he happened to be one . I admired the mans skills and who he was as a person . That kind of talent finds the light only rarely in today's cookie cutter world .

A word of advice unless you know the person on the other side of that keyboard I wouldn't be so quick with the cracks about keyboard commandos . If you've ever told a child there are no monsters in the world you have lied to them , there's a dark side be real glad you've never seen it .
