Default Starting a fuel injected at 35*

My 2010 1200XL will not start when its cold. Is there something i need to do so it will turn over in the cold. I have push started it before in the cold but is that bad to do?

Should not have any issues starting it at 35 degrees. Will the Engine not turn over? Is the battery dead?

Cold shouldn't matter - even if bike was carb, or EFI. If bike's a '10 - wouldn't think battery was dead already, but wouldn't be suprised if cables are loose. Check battery cables & juice w/meter. Might need a quick tighten & charge...

As has been said, its going to be the battery or cables. You should have no problems starting the bike in any temp's, If the battery is of an age it is probably worth getting a new one and while your at it pick up a battery tender, their worth their weight in gold.

My fuel injected bike starts right up at any temperature all the way down to the low 20s.

Check those battey cables. I checked mine over the weekend when I did some maintenance and they were both loose.

Get a battery tender to keep your battery charged between rides.

While I agree with the battery being the issue, if you can, take it to the dealer and have them check/replace the battery since its a '10 and should still be under warranty.

Both my bikes start right up no matter how cold it is out. Yeah the bike should be under warranty so I would get it in soon. If your going to let the bike sit do what the other told you and get a battery tender.

Fuel injection has nothing to do with engine cranking. Starting system needs to be checked.

Exactly!

If the bike won't even "turn over", it's not fuel injection (or carburetor for that matter) issue.

Low or Dead batter, or lose cable connection.

No one has asked this question: Is the bike stock, or has some modification been done that changes the air/fuel ratio (tuner, pipes, even air filter)? A 100% stock bike will have no problems whatever at 35°F starting unless something's broken (or modified improperly.)
