People sometimes put prices on things that are designed to move the item in a reasonable time frame. On the other hand, sometimes people put a price on something that they really don't want to sell, but if they got that price they'd change their mind.

I ended up selling a bike I didn't have for sale in the 90s by throwing (what I thought) was a ridiculous price at a friend that was pestering me to sell my bike to him. He kind of surprised my by pulling out his checkbook.

 

Yeah some of these CL people are smokin' crack. I live in VA near that idiot and did a CL seach and found a 2010 Street Bob for $12,500 with pipes and some other stuff on it. That 06 is worth 10k maybe.

 

That Ironic....Bike has 17K Mikes and he is asking $17K.....
