Going from SERT to Power commander?
How do I ditch my SERT and start with a power commander? Or should I do the TTS thing?

http://www.mastertune.net/SERTUpgrade.html This is the route I'm going.
The Powervision looks like it will be a good unit as well. You would just hook it up to your bike and it will marry to it like your SERT did.

The new Power Vision from Fuel Moto will be released next month and presumably will replace the PCV.
I have zero room under my seat for add ons so I've considered the ThunderMax to be my best option but this new product may be a better choice.
I prefer the auto tune option so other than cost, the only issue would be finding a place to mount the module.

Why because I'm going to install a woods 555 cam the down the road install the 107" kit and I dont want to ride 3 hours twice for two dyno runs. I would rather run fuel moto's power commander and skip the dyno. If the power commander is like 300 then its cheeper to go that route and I have a mac so I can't run the sert software anyways.

If you have a true SERT, (Screamin Eagle Race Tuner) I sure wouldn't trade that for a power commander.

I agree. If you can find someone who is fluent with the Sert then have it tuned using that. You dont want to ride the 3 hrs for the tune, then its obvious you dont want a bike that hauls ***.If your ok with getting your *** whipped by your buddies then ok!! My personal opinion is the TTS is the best you can get.Your bike can be tuned with it in roughly half the time it takes to tune with the others.Call Doc at HDMD tuning center to see if he has trained a tech in your area on the SERT,TTS or SEST!!!

I have a SEPST but added the PCV and I believe (hope) it just overrides the lousy programming the dealer did on the bike back in 08. I am thinking about having a local Indy in the area tune using the SEPST........but that's another thread.
PCV with FM map has worked great last 2 years.

O.K but is it a real pain to tune with a TTS. I'm not real handy with the SERT as it is. Do you set a base tune then go for a run and like plug it back in and it will fine tune it for you. I have not done the research on the TTS set-up. 300 bucks a pop for a dyno run and I'm looking at two runs next year I figured I'd be money ahead to go with the PC from Jamie thats made for the combo I'm installing. Thanks for all your guy's imput.
