oatman is my favorite ride, if you go down there, on 95, be sure to stop at Rosies Den, its 28 miles from Hoover damn, great inexpensive food, biker hangout.
Also a quick afternoon trip would be the Pioneer Bar, out in Good Springs, very old bar. If you need any information PM me.

Vegas can get freekin cold in winter, in February one year the fountains were frozen and there is snow in them hills (Big *** Mountains).

The Grand Canyon would be totally out of the question at it can get to over 7,000 ft elevation and lots of snow.

Outman is cool and old route 66, perhaps fly into Laughlin/Bull Head City and go from there.

In April is the River Run in Laughlin and the weather is great - 85 F....aaahhh nice.

Went to the Laughlin River Run this year and then headed to the Grand Canyon. We got snowed on two days in a row. Don't think we'll do that again even in april.

Would like to hear from some locals, is two full riding days realistic to see area, ie Grand Canyon loop, I was thinking 1 full day out, motel somewhere, one full day back.

I know what the maps show, but I like to stop, see the sights, hit a few local watering holes etc. and maps don't show what the local riders know.

Thanks

HOG Fly'n Ride rentals are for a minimum of 2 days, but it's actually 2 nights, not days. So you can pick up the bike at 9am on day 1 and return it at 5pm on day 3. In other words, you get three riding days for the $200 2-night rental.

Do Death Valley on one day, do HooverDam/Oatman/Laughlin on another day, do the Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon on another day.

It is 10F deg at the Grand Canyon right now with light snow forecast tonight. It was 51 F here yesterday but 64 F in Laughlin/Bullhead which is 45 minutes away.

Vegas can be very nice in winter or can get caught in some blustery conditions but guarantee the mountains around it will be snow capped in the winter.

Elevation changes are key around here. The higher the colder and it is easy to go from top of mountains to sea level at Colorado River in no time flat which explains why most of us are pointing you toward the lower Mojave desert area.
