What changes are in the new FXRG leathers compared to the previous model? I know the 05VM overpants were all leather and the 09VM have cordura and leather but what about the jackets? Personally, I like the all leather pants better.

zippers are back to ykk zippers. tons better.

 

Seems like all the zippers on the 05VM are YKK except the main zipper which is TTL. I have not heard of TTL.

 

ya that main zipper is the one that breaks, i believe it was suppose to be a waterproof zipper but it doesnt hold very well. the new main zipper is ykk and there is a secondary zipper inside instead of velcro

 

I picked mine up at the dealer Friday. Nice, and fits well. The Harley dealer's catalogue says it has a LIFETIME guarantee!

 

The 05VM has three main zippers if you are wearing the insulated liner. It's probably a biotch to get in and out of if you've had a few. Just guessin'.

 

Probably a sign that you're too f**ked up to ride if you can't zip your jacket!
