Default Leg Fairing on Road King

Thinking about the leg fairings for my road king custom.
Just wondering if anybody has any experience if this is a good combination.
just any input is appreciated ....especially if you have experience with the leg fairing and standard windshield.
thanks.

if you mean lower fairings, there are likely hundreds here that use them on their RKs. watch eBay for deals. i also got a 1990s detachable batwing fairing in great shape for $200. easy on and off.

If you're talking lowers - yes, they work quite well. You can go w/two options (soft, or hard) and I have the HD vented lowers on my FLHX. Really helps w/wind, bugs, air, etc...and has added storage, or you can install speakers to expand sound. Got mine on CraigsList at a great price so do some searching b/c there are deals out there.

I never take the lowers off of my Ultra. They are good year around to keep bugs and flying rocks off off ya as well!

Rider here local to me has the hard ultra lowers mounted on a damn fine looking white RK. Never had a chance to inquire on his experiences but I like the look.

Do a search on ebay for 'Harley engine guard chaps.' Depending on the seller you can get them for 30-50 bucks. Get those and a set of HD fork mounted wind deflectors and you'll be good to go.

That's the set-up I have for my Heritage and it really helps with cold weather riding.

On my last Road Glide, I tried the soft fairing lowers first. They worked well at calming the air around my legs, but the flat surface behind the front wheel caused some buffeting that I could feel in the whole bike.

When I added the hard fairing lowers, the bike seemed to move through the wind and air much more smoothly.

Now I have a RGUltra. It's got vented lowers. I couldn't find vented lowers for my old RG.

And I don't know how differently they'll work on a Road King, but I'm guessing you'll like them.
