Angry Monkey Butt

I have ridden a lot of HDs, I do not normally get monkey butt. I bought a new Ultra in 2008 and still have the original seat. Every time I ride this bike, I get MB. Even if I only ride 200 miles....here comes MB. Just thinking this morning, I didn't used to get MB on this bike, none of the others gave it to me...Fatboy, Dyna, Road King. Just the most comfortable bike harley makes, gives me MONKEY BUTT! The only difference in the last two years is the HD backrest. Does anyone out there think that the backrest could contribute to MB?????

I cannot imagine how having a backrest would contribute to MB. But anything's possible, I guess.

I have an 08 Ultra and I do not use my backrest. The seat already has a mini backrest built into it. No MB for me even after a 500 mile day.

I had an 09 Ultra...one of the first things I did was change the seat out. The stock seat on Ultra's is awful.

I agree on the backrest.

I much prefer the firmness of my Corbin seat which doesn't give me MB, to the softer style seat (which does give me MB) like you would find on a Ultra.

If you didn't use to have a problem then maybe the filling has worn out. Also, and it pains me to say this, maybe you're just getting old. I know no one informed me my thirties would be filled with strange things like growing hair in odd places and losing it from places I want to keep. Also, one of my wife's favorite activities is searching for gray hairs. I tell her since she's the one that causes them she can have them back. Others on here say it's not gray, it's chrome so it's an upgrade.

wait until you have hair trying to grow on top of your ears!

As for the seat and MB...sounds like the stock saddle needs to be changed out.

I'd recommend either getting a Mustang or having Mean City redo the seat. No reason for you to be that uncomfortable at any age.

You need a Sundowner or a Mustang Touring seat. Maybe I'm mixed up on the MB definition, but isin't that associated with sweating?

I'm not comfortable with discussing my sweating ****, but thanks for the comment.
