I just heard from BCT by email and they told me that the baffles can be put more or less forward, close to the engine depending on the sound I wanna get out of it. Where did you put yours and how did the location of the baffles changed how your pipes sound like?

And from what they told me, the QQ baffles have a deeper tone, are quieter and perform better than their original baffles. Wonder if their QQ baffle is still louder than the original V&H baffles...

BCT says there's a sweet spot to install them, so that's what I did. I don't know if they're louder than the stock V&H, because they're both very loud. The BCT is just much deeper sounding.

Agreed, with the QQ's sounding the deepest. And 6" in from the end of the pipe is the normal installation.

6" from the end of the pipe, you mean at the end of the muffler, correct? Not the head pipe?

I bought a set of the originals last summer and was somewhat dissapointed. Sound was pretty good but i felt a loss of power (maybe just me, not sure) but i also had a pretty good increase in decell pop. One thing though was I had the bike dyno"d with the original hooker baffles and not the bcts so that might be the reason for the differences in performance. Mine are for sale in the dyna parts for sale section if anyones interested.

The QQ's are the muffler. They don't work with slip ons. Slide the original baffles out , drill a hole 6" in from the tip from the END of the pipe, slide the QQ in & tighten.

It is easy. Besides, they give you a good clear set of instructions with the baffles.
