ECM tap. It is a diagnostic tap or where you hook a SERT up.

CAN Bus Circuit for the Computer (CAN = Controller Area Network)

It is the electrical connection for an external computer to talk to the computer on the bike and vice versa.

A TTS Mater Tune cable uses this connector to connect your Personal Computer (with TTS Software installed) to the ECU. This way your PC can be used to read a lot of the ECU's Input and Output data and some of it's programing. It also allows you to reprogram the ECU to a certain degree.

If you purchase Harley-Davidson's "Code Master" P/N32312-10 it plugs into this connector and you can use it to read any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) that the ECU has stored and/or to clear any DTC's that may be stored in the memory of the ECU.

The Harley-Davidson Dealer also has a PC based diagnostic tool that allows them to completely replace the ECU's Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM) called the SERT by most folks.

It's where my SERT plugs in? Done it many times. Exact same plug and color and location. Where does yours plug in?

I thought that was the interface for the tailight/running light conversion? At least that's what it is on MY bikes!
