Backpacks and Baggers
#7
nothing looks worse than a backpack on a guy riding a harley, if I cant carry it in my pockets, I don't bring it, period!! if I need stuff, I ride my bagger, with what fits inside, I'm sorry but backpacks are way "gay!!" I know I'm opening a can of worms with this one!!

While I can't see myself ever doing it now, if you need the extra storage for a long trip, I see nothing wrong with securing a backpack to the back seat. It would likely reduce the wind drag as well.
I wouldn't recommend using the tourpack lid just because of the weight limitations.
I moved from Texas to NC several years ago (military), rode my bagger, and lived there for six weeks before my household goods arrived. Wish I'd had a backpack then that I could have strapped to the passenger seat to carry a few more things that would have made my life easier during those six weeks.
