Who cares what anyone else thinks! But if your got that much stuff in your bags that you need a backpack too, I'd be inclined to ask if your a hoarder or maybe a little feminine!

Isn't that why one gets a bagger, so you don't have to use a backpack any more??????

Sorry to get off track, but are "hoodies" and hooded coats on bikers all the rage in America, like they are in Japan? Actually, I think it's a fad carried over from the general public to bikers. Talk about GAY! Most of the time the hood is never used and serves no purpose but to hang behind and blow in the wind. I just think it's funny how a backpack could be looked at as gay or lame, but a hoody (even the name is gay) could be cool. Sad part is, I'm totally guilty of wearing 'em.

I don't like the wearing the back pack. It constricts my movement, that's why I won't wear one on the bike.

If you need more storage space, how about getting a magnetic mount tank bag. I use a Rally Pack made for a sport bike but it works fine on my FXDC, and doesn't add extra weight shifting around on my back. Though when I'm carrying stuff for overnighting I will strap on a messenger bag as well, but having something on my back when I'm riding is really annoying and I'm considering getting that new bag that Saddlemen has been advertising in the magazines. Avoid backpacks, not for fashion reasons but for comfort and balance reasons.

I don't get why anyone would come on here and ask if something is ok for them to do, Your a big boy, you bought a big boy bike so now put on your big boy pants and do what the hell you want to do. If your asking how to be cool on your shiny Harley then don't bother cause your not.
