Robbie Maddison, the guy that does stunts that Evel said could never be done deserves a mention in this thread.

He is NO Evel, but he has jumped both farther and higher than any man on a motorcycle, as seen here...

Evel was right ....It couldn't be done with the machines they had at that time... maybe maddison can try it on a clapped out Triumph with almost no suspension... I'd like to see how that works out for him...

Show some respect man ...

Eddie Lawson and Freddie Spencer deserve a mention. I still think the KZ/GPZ's and the Honda 750/900F's are good looking bikes. They've held their own over time and look far better than any crotch rocket ever could

I met freddie spencer a couple times, he's probably the most grounded guy I've met..of course his fame wasn't exactly mainstream (especially then) ...

met him again with Kevin Schwantz at a Vanson leathers invite party when I had sponsorship.. still maintain they are the best leathers EVER made.. even the west coast surfer dudes have switched over from Bates !!!

Away from the famous racers and stunt men for a moment, a writer, Hunter S. Thompson.
