Amazing how there can be 60 posts that all say the same thing, more or less, except for the blonde that was bouncing on the seat of the bike. That made the thread a worthwhile read.

It's just decoration, you could never advertise it as a grab strap, it would never pass any tests for such a device. its just to hide the gap between the front and and rear seats.
