Very strange twist, for sure.

Simply being on the road in that condition, automatically puts fault on you in some states.
This article implied otherwise for this guy, if I understood correctly.

My take on reading the updated article, is that he probably will be charged with DUI (if in fact the blood tests prove that).
But that fact is not really what caused this particular accident in the first place.
Next to impossible to prove though, since nobody will ever know if he might have been able to control his car better if he hadn't been drinking.
So, he probably won't be charged in the deaths.

Either way, two stupid people on the road at the same time means the bikers never had a chance.

Thats real tragic, I think that the driver of the car that got hit should hold some responsibilty for driving drunk, who's to say that his state of condition didnt help amplify this situation like over correcting, etc. As for the guy or girl in the gold honda by now they know exactly what they have done (Newspaper.T.v.) and should do the right thing and turn themselve in.

When you are a drunk driving Mexican it is SOP.

I hate hearing about these accidents. How can you leave a scene of such carnage? Hope he turns himself in.

To many idiots out there anymore,

Just this weekend here in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, PA, an 18 year old female drove the wrong way on an off ramp and plowed into an oncoming car,

The female was drunk, an open bottle of rum in the car, and the offending female driver attempted to flee the accident scene,

My prayers are out to all injured cyclists in the California accident, a stupid tradegy,

God help us all,

(Ooops, I guess that is politically incorrect)

Tough ****, I meant it,

A shame.
chances are you haven't been down there meatball. There wouldn't be illegals on those roads with the amount of boarder patrol check points dude. Know about the area your talking about before you open your hick mouth

Fox news just reported the driver was arrested and under suspicion of DUI.
