Renting bikes in the Phoenix area
I'll be heading out to Phoenix this winter to do some riding. Can anyone recommend
a good HD dealer to rent bikes from?
Thanks,
Pete

RE: Renting bikes in the Phoenix area
I rented from Eagle Rider when I went out there. Had no problems whatsoever, other than the $20 cab ride from the airport.
I'd make sure they had the bike you want first as the guy that came in behind me wanted a bagger and I got the last one...

RE: Renting bikes in the Phoenix area
My apologies if this is a duplicate post...but I posted the following comments in a reply to an earlier post by petemac in the touring forum about renting in the Phoenix area. I feel strongly enough about what happened that I just wanted to share. Not trying to start a flame about Buddy Stubbs but.....
A buddy and I rented 2 bikes from Buddy Stubbs this Spring. It sure turned out to be quite a mistake for my buddy. When he returned the bike, they claimed he had "scuffed" the seat with his boot and charged him around $300 for a new seat. Even had the ***** to claim they were giving him a discount. And as Paul Harvey says....here's the rest of the story....they now want $125 to ship him the old seat. rest assured never, ever, will he (we) rent bikes from Buddy Stubbs again.
I'm sure others may have had a good experience with them, but this is what happened to my buddy :-(
