Any machine does just depends on the owner to bring it out .

and not all bike souls are friendly. My 350F was pocessed by the devil the way the thing would strand me incredibly far from the farm sometimes. Then I'd get a half hour ride in the truck listening to my father say "why the heck you gotta ride so far away?"

Oh ya your right I built 2 shovels at the same time both 72's , poked both motors out to 88" Identical parts and setup on the bench side by side . One was my sig bike the silver one , the " Other " was the black one . Only difference was the inside of the black's engine was coated with a special Teflon compound used in jet engines or something like that .

There difference between the 2 performance and attitude wise was so dramatic I named the black bike " Christine " after the evil car in the movie . It had an evil side but was one of the hardest running machines I've ever had . Had to get rid it after the second it tried to kill me for no mechanical reason I ever found . Like my ex-wife was a hell of a ride when it wanted to be .

To bad they made nice pair sitting the in the garage together .

Damn "Christine" is a good looking bike! Is that a 1955 tank badge on your Dyna or did they resurrect that style that model year? It looks great but it looks just like one from an old pic on another thread in here.

You're lucky I don't live next to ya.....I'd have you build one with me.

HATE carbs...but love shovels....maybe I could be convinced to put up with one more in my life.

To say I love shovels is an understatement....I guess that's why I have made my twinkie bagger to look like an FLH.

That's a '61-'62 badge

Anyone notice the '56 Ford F-100 across the street?

It means nothing. It's a bunch of nonsense from people who have deluded themselves into believing that H-D products are special creatures. H-D products have good qualities, and bad, just like everything else out there. I bought my FXD because I got a good bike at a great price. However, I was prepared to buy other brands if they could have given me a better deal than I got on my FXD.

Motorcycles are machines, and machines have no soul. That's true whether the machine is a H-D motorcycle or a 1958 Plymouth Fury.
