Default Almost can't believe the MPG I'm getting!

I've had my 2010 Road King (FLHR) for about 2 months and 1600 miles. The windshield has been on the whole time. I'm getting 42 to 46 MPG. I've had bikes for 30 years. Mostly sport bikes with inline 4cyl motors. They usually averaged 38 to 40 MPH. What is everyone else getting?

I was getting around 44.

Then I did Dresser Duals, Monster Rounds, PCV with Autotune. Since then I get around 35, but I'm way harder on the throttle than I was before.

Two-up riding on the freeway @ 65-70mph (with a windsheild) I'm getting 48 mpg. The bike is a 2006 Dyna FXDB, stock motor (except for stage 1 and HD slip-ons) and has a little over 20k miles on it.

EPA says it will do 54 mpg highway. I've always wondered what they were smoking. I've averaged about 41 - 42 mpg at the speed limit.

Default '09 Dyna

There's another post on this.

For 3400 miles, my '09 TC96 has averaged 45 mpg, riding solo, mostly in the mountains, w/ 60#+ luggage and w/s.

Too much emissions testing in poorly ventilated areas.
