I average around 38-40, but I live in Japan. A lot of stop and go.

My 2007 Street Bob will get that if I keep it in the 58-62 mph range. Falls off to about 44 at 80 mph.

I have seen a consistent 47+ cruising the below 55 county roads, and I've seen as little as 36 mpg. it's all about how you ride yours. My usual combined full tank mileage is about 40-42mpg. It has nothing but a SE breather element, and the Sampson ovals. I haven't checked with the stock pipes, which are on it at the moment. But I bet I will this weekend. :-)

2010 STREET BOB -
1. Stage 1 (open A/C with Thunderheader,) Dealer tune - 48 HWY/40-42 CITY

2. Stage .5 (open A/C - Stock Pipes) My own tune with CLB set to 700 across the board - 38 MPG CITY and 38-40 MPG HWY

3. Stage .5 (open A/C - Stock Pipes) CLB set to Stage 1 values, but still my VE TABLES 48-50 HWY/42-44 CITY

Number 2 was the coolest of them all, and actually road pretty good. Plugs were a little dark and ashy though. Probably could adjust the cruising section of the CLB, and get better gas mileage on the HWY. I went back to the default CLB Tables. I missed the 4 MPG. That comes out to around 66 miles per month.

I am still weighing the decision if the lose of gas mileage is worth it. I will not know unless I get a dipstick that will measure the oil temperature.

Lowest ever was 30mpg running 80mph through South Dakota. Best ever was 55mpg running 45-55mph on highway all day. Normal day of riding is around 42mpg.
