After a left turning soccer mom took me out in a big way on 10-15-01, it took me over a year to get well enough to ride on a limited bases. Took me three more years to make my first 2500 mile road trip. I'm pretty much back to normal now, what ever normal is.

But at the same time your saying that after 500,000 miles you will not crash on the street, I find that very naive of you. Say your cruising along on the highway and then your belt breaks and wraps up in the back wheel locking it up tight or 1000 other uncontrollable scenarios like that, you can be doing a face slam before you even know it happening. Never say never, never be that cocky.
I was doing 30 mph, next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed and do tor was talking about possibly removing my left leg, it was 2 days in reality, but it was instant in my perception of time.

To the OP, i do suggest a class if you have not ridden, and do always expect a wreck, it will help you avoid them, some fear is good as it will keep you alive, loose all fear and you will pay, cocky kills. But if you just fall over or hit a little gravel and do a little slide and get skinned up a bit, get back on that bike ASAP and move past it and learn from it. you ride the bike, the bike dont ride you.

and judging by your post, you are the worst ...go down a lot do you..

it's not being an *** , it's a state of mind that it's me against every other vehicle on the road...and that's not a game I want to lose ...

Yes, there a million "what if's" and those are unavoidable ...

But what I'm talking about is taking responsibility for your riding ...not blaming everyone else on the road...

So if it came off cocky ...then so be it...It keeps me alive..

You never know when or if it will happen, after 30 years of no accidents summer of 05 a bag dislodged off the back of my bike on the interstate, my fault. Somehow got sucked into the rear tire, I only remember 4 days later in shock trama and my wife feeding me jello. Bike was in the shop 3 months and I was healed and rode it home. My wife was pissed, she had me talked into selling it in the hospital while I was still not all there.

Yeah, I am the worst rider. The cops told me that a cager deliberately tried to take me out. The Cops said according to all witness statements, that it was my riding skills that kept me alive you douche bag. Your a cocky SOB that WILL get taken out by another vehicle, it's only a matter of time.
I know three VERY experienced riders that were hit by cars, and there was nothing that they could have done about it. So, what's your advice to them, Jerk, since you know everything.
