It would be nice to at least have the option of buying gasoline w/o the 10%, maybe soon to be 15%, alcohol. There's a petition to make this case to the EPA.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/keep-pure-gas/
Keep ethanol-free gas widely available
signature goal: 10,000
overview petition
Target: Lisa Jackson, EPA Administrator
Sponsored by: Sam Hokin, Pure-Gas.org
Many cars, boats, motorcycles, aircraft and other combustion engine powered vehicles require ethanol-free fuel, due to fuel system components or performance. Ethanol-free gasoline is becoming a scarce commodity, largely due to the unintended consequences of the federal RFS mandate in EISA 2007, which was meant to spur E85 production and distribution and sale of flex-fuel vehicles. If ethanol-free gasoline disappears in the retail market, a large number of vehicles will be rendered inoperable or will operate at severely reduced performance and incur higher maintenance costs.
Sign this petition to ask the EPA to ensure that federal ethanol regulations be constructed in a way to guarantee the production and sale of pure premium gasoline!

Well, it seems to state ALL petitions are worthless - not just e-petitions. Yeah, voting is actually a petition as well. But if we don't try to stand together somehow on the issues important to each of us (any - not necessarily this one), we are just cattle. I'm number 762 of 10,000.
