Citgo the company is US owned. The oil fields are owned by Venezeula. They were nationalized, developed by American companies and then kicked out where they cannot own or operate. The crude brought out is under contract to the local government. Now, if you want to support Chavez and his government, buy Citgo and other products produced under label by Citgo.

 

So we should buy oil from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East only???? yeah right.................

 

Really, this world economy sucks, but..... over 4000 employess in Tx work for Citgo and they have over 14000 service stations located in the US. Check out Snopes.com for other interesting facts. I don't typically use Citgo, but only because they don't have stations around my house, but I have no problem using HD products.

 

I never buy from Citco stations...... 7/11 convenience stores are owned by Seven-Eleven Japan Co. Ltd, Headquarters: 2-8 Nibancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan 102-8452, and they only sell Citgo fuel

The 1st thing to do with Hugo is stamp him "persona non grata" and escort his *** to the airport. As far as Citgo is concerned I quit burning it quite a while ago. I guess I can add 7-11 to the black list also. Harley lubricants (provided by Citgo) will never go back into my bike if I can help it. Forget about the political crap, there's better stuff out there for lubricants anyway.

I drained a fresh oil change of Syn3 yesterday and went with a true 20W50 synthetic ( non-harley). The top end noise on my twin cam reduced IMHO at least 50%. A month ago I added the Screamin' Eagle 6 Speed. I had the dealer dump the Syn3 out of the 6 speed and put in a better lube in the tranny too. Tranny noise also went down.

YOu want to get somebody's attention, hit them in the wallet! It's the only way to spank anyone today without being accused of child abuse!

 

Citgo is the national oil company of Venezuela. The government of that country has repeatedly stated there goal is to destroy America. When you buy their products, your support their gov't and it's goals. It really is that simple. Don't worry about Bush, he's just the figurehead of the moment. He's said the same thing about every other president. It's our country that he hates, not just the current figurehead.

Yes, it is managed by Americans. And, yes, 5K or so Americans get their paycheck from Citgo. That makes them Mercenaries working against their own gov't. I won't support them either.

I make it a point to never buy anything I suspect is made by Citgo.
