Mine is on a Fatboy, and it did move me forward about an inch. When I first put it on I didn't like it because it felt different, but after riding with it for a day you get used to it and appreciate the comfort.

Whenever I change anything such as my seat or handlebars, I usually don't like the feel right away either, until I ride with them for few hours and then they start feeling normal.

I just looked at the Dennis Kirk website and you're right. They have 1 in stock for $584. I'm going to call Mustang tomorrow and see what the deal is. Maybe I can negotiate a little credit (yeah right?).

I just received my super touring from www.tri-countyharleydavidson.com I checked with lots and lots of sellers and they had the absolute best price shipped to my door.Even less than Dennis Kirk. I had e-mailed tri-county for a price and the general manager wrote back and she was great to work with, if you want to contact, her name is Jenni and e-mail JSapyta@aol.com.
Took 4 days to get so that was fast shipment, came in last night so will have it installed and out riding today.
I did test ride one before and it does set you back some and the comfort was fantastic over stck

I put a Mustang seat on mine 3 months after buying the bike in '03 and plan on another when I decide to upgrade to an Ultra.

I had a Mustand solo wide vintage on my fat bob and it was incredibly comfortable. I could ride for hours without a sore butt.

I have the Mustang Wide Touring on my 07 Custom. However, I do have the luggage rack on the fender and the seat mounting hole lines up with it. I then got the seperate back rest pad from HD for the sissy bar. Works like a charm and comfy for the passenger.

You just cant go wrong with any mustang seat. I've had two and have the Vintage studded Solo on my wideglide.
