The Rivco still sounds best to me, much deeper sound. The Wolo sounds too much like an imported car horn.

However, only you know your budget and if the extra 120 dollars is worth it. I can tell you which ones I think sounds better, but I can't guess on your cash flow.

I am positive that the Strebel sounded way louder than the WOLO...Now i may have a problem with the WOLO...$40.00 at harbour freight is still pretty good ...I will get something better later but for now it's not at the top of my priority list.

The Rivco is a lot louder.

Again, they are the same. The Stebel rates theirs at 130db from 4 inches. The Wolo rates theirs at 114db at 4 feet. I may be a little off on the db's but I'm very close. Do a search here & you will need 3 hours to read all the post. I have mini beast II's on both bikes which are the Stebels with metal chromed covers that look great & are easy to mount. They are plenty loud!

Are either of these horns as loud as your cars horn at 40-50 ft? I usually don't blow my horn at something 4 inches from me.,,

Louder then any stock car horn that I know. DB ratings are based on distance from the source. Each mfg has their own way of rating their horn.

Horns are mostly used in anger - save your money.

Maybe one of your horns was defective or it didn't have the required relay. I had 2 Wolo, 2 Stebel Nautilus (hooked up on friends rides) & the 2 Mini Beast I have now. They all blew the same & were all hooked up with the required relay.

And here is what a Stebel dealer has to say:

The Mini Beast II

The chrome Wolo has covers that help keep out moisture that could harm the diaphragms.
I mounted mine under a Metalarts flamed cover. The cover has openings in the flames, so I added a thin piece of stainless under the cover to close the front off.
It muffles the sound alittle, but it's still much louder than the stock.

I tested it at work wired straight to a truck battery, and some co-workers came around the building thinking the train was in the yard, hehe.

You'll see some Wolo's listed as 139 db. The same as the Stebel Nautilus lists the rating.
