SOA's Kurt Sutter's View on 3PP Gear

Bullshit meter pegs on that one. *** kicking, maybe, if you do something serious enough, and wearing a sons of anarchy shirt in public does not rate. If you think it does, you have been watching too many episodes of Gangland. Steal someones bike in front of a bunch of people. Like they are so bad they BEG to go to jail. Please. Do something in front of a 'bunch' of people these days and guaranteed half of them will be recording it with their camera phones.

Earlier this year the vagos MC was rumored to be strapping bombs to city inspector vehicles in Hemet. the cops knew it was the vagos, had suspects, and no one got arrested. so the cops won't mess with then, but you will ...... yeah right. i tend to error on the side of caution. since it has happened before, and could possible happen again, i will leave the 3 pp at home.

Sneaking around and slipping a rumored bomb on a car is not the same as stealing a bike in front of "a bunch of peole". No one said anything about picking a fight with someone, just you have a very active imagination if you think you are going to have a club decide to beat you up and steal your bike in front of "a bunch of people" because they saw you wear a tshirt from a tv show. How are things going in Roswell these days?

Who gives a damn??
This is about copyright infringement, nothing more. No one cares if someone is wearing gear that supports a TV show. Most that legitimately wear a 3PP would just laugh. If you got together w/some equally ignorant doofusses and decided to start a "Podunk" or where ever Chapter of he SOA it would still be about copyright infringement. The most that would likely happen is that word would get back to Sutter and he'd have an army of lawyers at your door with cease and desist orders.

The conversation is about wearing a 3 (patch) Piece Cut. Come on up here wearing one and I'll take you on a little tour of some of our local biker watering holes. Active imaginations don't hurt that bad, but you be the judge! Its very likely that You'd get your **** kicked by a non club member long before a club member got to you, just for being a Douchebag. And if you don't think that they would not take your bike, or at a minimum offer you a little free customizing in front of others, I know of two other nay saying badazzes I'd like to introduce you to.

Plain and simple, if you wear a vest, jacket, hoodie with a fake 3PP with a rocker claiming a state and go to the right swap meet, bike rally, bar, etc. you will at minimum be told to turn it inside out but more likely have it removed from your back. If you don't think so you are delusional.

King's Ride,
Same reason a bunch of folks wear military stuff w/o ever having been in it. Wanting to give the impression they're something they aren't and to salve their low self esteem issues.

There are some non-1%er 3PP's and some 1%er's that are 1PP, but your point is correct. They abide in a society within a society and live by the rules that they alone make.

"When Dickie Dorfman walks into a diner wearing his pleather cut with a California rocker and some outlaw rips it off his back and jams a chicken pot pie up his ***, maybe then someone will get the point."
