Ear plug blow out ?

I read that. Just wondered if the rubber ones refered to were that same a silicone ones. I've also read that rock bands and the like use silicone ones like what I have, because it doen't distort the sound as much as the foam ones muffle everything. Not that I'm a rock star and need to hear every nuance of sound while riding, just want to hear better than listening to Charlie Brown's teacher when stopped at a light or such...and still protect my hearing.

U have to get the right size and put them in the right way.... They should not blow out, if so something is wrong..

Ive used these for yrs, http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/coreean26.html

Got a friend, everytime he opens his mouth his earplugs blow out to. Nothing in there it stop the wind I'm thinkin.

...have the rings or "flanges" on them so they respond to very loud and sudden noises/sound waves like the report of a firearm. The idea being you can hear your FAI commands while line is safe and have the protection when the hell breaks loose. I use the over the ear phones when shooting in a group esp. when indoors. They would not provide alot of protection from the wind which is more in the "ambiant" sound wave range. I prefer the dense foam plugs you have to squish up to insert in the ear and leave a half inch of the connecting cord on so I can pull them out quickly.

Man, I used to be skinny like you; I'm jealous.
