just ordered a pair of leather over-pants from leatherup.com they were $79.00 so i figured worth the risk. they are a little less gay than chaps, we'll see when i get them how they fit and the quality.

Got me some special underpants last night... Longhandles...

100% polyester. BVD Heavy Weight Base Layer; says so on the package. then jeans layer and chaps layer... maybe Rain-suit layer over that.

All this should keep my banana warm .

and plenty of H2O... I'M GOOD TO GO!

Sounds like your ready to roll, man!

Keep the banana wrapped and your knees in the breeze (with lots of layers, of course )

Let us know how the ride went.

Made it back!

I now have the ebigfish family and extended family MC Bragging Rights!

A 300 mile MC trip in NOVEMBER! (you more Southerly pals and gals may not give a flying whoop; but this is south Dakota...)

It was in the 50's yesterday (Sat) so i started out wearing the special underpants, you know, the Longhandles...

100% polyester. BVD Heavy Weight Base Layer; said so on the package... then the jeans layer and chaps layer.

Then rode the 10 miles out to where my wife works for a round of 'see ya, buh-bye, love-ya', And I was cold. so I added the Rain-suit layer over that and was fine and dandy...

All this kept my banana warm .

and with plenty of H2O... I WAS GOOD TO GO! And so I did.

By the time I got to Emerson, NE, the Sun was High and Hot. and with plenty of H2O... I HAD TO GO! And so I did.

Then it was Into the Saddlebags for the rainsuit and I cruised stately into West Point with just my Leathers.

The return trip was nice. 74 in West Point and 67 back home... So, no special longhandles... Just the Leathers.

I know it's not the Hoka hay... But, HEY! It was a good weekend to ride!

And so I did.

Do you think I should carry my flip flops to the boat today? or will it be too hot and may get a sunburn. High of 88 degrees on the coast today.
Rode home last night after dinner and had to put on my hoodie, it got down to 62 degrees.
LOL
Dunno about the flip flops, just make sure your bike meets California emission standards, you have stock pipes, your helmet, and no toy in your happy meal.

For those of you who want to have bragging rights to the coldest real temp you've ridden in, here's the NWS chart for figuring it out.

Answer: Butt-*** Cold.

I'm thinking those heated grips may not be such a bad idea after all.

Good news its supposed to get up to 53 degrees for the ride home. That will feel like a tropical heat wave.

Not too many nice afternoons left here in Ohio - figured I needed to get a few in before it starts snowing.
I use this website all the time to check the wind chill.
http://www.springfrog.com/weather/wind-chill.htm

24 degrees at 65 mph is just under 1 degrees.
