Thanks for your feedback, All. I know I'm not going to get the sound of v-twins past out of my engine. I would just like to move in that direction.

What's the best cam to get some lope and distinctive pop out of my engine?

Thanks!

The actual question should be what cams do "you" want?

Don't forget everyone is going to have an "opinion" but you have to remember YMMV.

I've never bought cams before. I don't know which ones will create a sound somewhat close to what I'm looking for.

It's funny - some people buy a red bike, others buy a blue one. Some people have a windshield. Some have apes. I want a certain sound, and particular cams will help. Just gotta find out which ones.

Thanks for your help so far.

Anyone else have any input?

Find someone with SE255s and listen to them. Should not be too hard to find as they are pretty popular. I heard a 96" with them idling and it sounded pretty sweet and much better than stock. More in the direction you want to go.

Cams, cams, and more cams.
