I'm sure this is going to happen over and over again. I'm sitting on my new RKC waiting for a light at a busy intersection. There's a car about five feet behind me also waiting. All of the sudden BANG! Some ditzy 20 year old texting on her cell phone, with three little kids in her car, runs right into the rear of the car in back of me. She was so into texting she never even hit the brakes. The impact knocked that car into me pretty hard. I did all I could to hold the bike up. But couldn't get my right foot down in time to prevent falling. I let it down as easy as I could to lessen the drop on my wife. I didn't get hurt much. Neither did my wife. There was lots of damage to the bike though. If there wasn't a car behind me to lessen the impact, we wouldn't be alive today. As for the girl who caused the wreck, all she did afterwards was mouth off to the cop who gave her a ticket because she was on welfare. No apology to anybody. Didn't care about the guy who was injured. Never ask if anybody else was either. Just a lot of nasty back talk. Fortunately, the owner of the car was insured.

 

Doesn't it just make your heart swell with pride knowing that your hard earned tax dollars were paying for the phone that caused her to wreck you? Good that you and your wife are not banged up to badly.

 

people driving using cell phones and deer will mess you up in short order.Very sorry to hear what happened to you did,just a chance we all take,we just want to ride and will.

 

Perhaps contacting a good personal injury Lawyer or Motorcycle specific Lawyer would be in order. In cases like this it's never a bad idea to Lawyer up soon.

Oh here in KY we provide them with cell phones, and u expected her to say sorry, oh no , u all was n her way, we owe the welfair everything. You will be lucky if you and the car she hit dont end up buying her car and paying her restitution. Glad u r both ok.

 

Just reading your story makes me pissed. I can't believe how many people are on their phones while driving. In my opinion it should be illegal in every state.
