Both day and night are better than the dusk or dawn time. if my day goes long i prefer to hole up till the sun is way down and everyone has headlights on and sunglasses off. I like riding at night on known roads. not so much in places I'm not familiar with. [8D]

My night vision isn't so hot anymore, so I might ride in well lit areas. I am also comfortable on the interstates at night because they are fenced to keep critters out. I do make sure I can see well ahead to miss debris and I do slow down some too. Yellow lense glasses really do help because they provide more contrast in the field of vision.[8D]

day or night, it's all pretty much the same for me. however, i do like that there is usually less traffic at night. more often than not, i will leave in the middle of the night when i am heading out for a long trip.

It like a whole different road at night. Just get used to it and watch the critters. It dosen't bother me at all and kind of like going somewhere in daylight and leaving at night. Tim

I'm with Rhubarb...I actually enjoy riding at night. In the summer, cooler temps...less cagers and the smells are better.
Make that three of us. I enjoy it too. Less cars on the road is nice, the air is cool. It is peaceful. Like Rhubard said, the twisties can be tricky.

My only complaint is my Sporty's light is not that great. I may need to adjust it to be a bit higher and show some more road, or put in a brighter bulb or something. Lately I have just been running the high beam at will. So far, no cager has flashed their lights at me to signal their irritation with it being on.

I just drive a bit slower and a bit more careful at night, but I do enjoy it.

Bottom line:
To quote the Outlaw Josie Wales..."A man has to know his limitations."
Actually I think that was Dirty Harry Callahan from "Magnum Force"

I love riding at night. Cooler in summertime and cages usually see you better. Just slow down a little and everything will be okay. Nothing like riding with a big ole full moon shining over your shoulder.

Around here riding at night can be injurious to your healt; besides the cages there are some big critters out there. My daughter-in-law was hit by a 700 LB. Elk recently that nearly totaled a new suburban. It also hit two other cars and put those people in the hospital. I will ride at night only if no other options and then a lot slower.

not big on night riding on the freeway it's not that bad
and so cal has a bunch of them prefer to ride day time but like tonight will ride to club meeting
and back in the dark just a little slower and more on edge all the time
I can't really get into that comfort zone at night ..
