Making mental note in case I ever ride through PA

I ride at night some, but I take it alot slower and realize that my field of view is less than during the day. Just be careful and be aware.

Good point, Venture33. I kinda enjoy jumping on and just going for a putz around, in the evening. Less traffic, less noise (other than the sound from the pipes). Especially on a warm summer night. Nothing like it.

I think one of the best (close to home) rides we had, was when I was doubling with hubby and tooling around town with another couple on their bike. We had a blast! Warm summer night, 1:00 in the morning....drove around for hours...Went for breakfast, and went home at dawn. That was one of our nicest memories about riding bikes (back then). This was pre-Harley too, I have to admit. It was just a really nice time.

Hahahahaha...Pittsburgh - A drinking town with a football problem.

But don't worry about my safety, when I double the limit...I drive a big a$$ P/U with a Ranch Hand bumper on front. []

You're safety wasn't all that I was worried about.

But us Yankees do worry about your safety.
That's why we offer to trailer rebel bikers in PA out of state.
Take care B/H, Ride safe (and ride south)
Cheers, venture

LOL. If your ever ride safe in the south, look me up. We'll go for a ride.

In town I love to ride at night, but riding at night in pitch black on the open highway is something different. I've done it before, but I don't care for it. To many critters darting back and fourth, not to mention whatever crap fell off the truck a couple of miles ahead of you.

I enjoy night riding almost as much as during the day. Especially when the night is clear and the moon is bright. I get to cross two lakes on the way home each night and it sure is pretty when the moon is out. Just adjust your riding style to allow for night time hazards. Larger gap between vehicles. Like one guy said, the car infront of you can turn a piece of metal into a nasty missle. Give yourself plenty room to evade and keep your speed reasonable.

I love riding at night when everyone else is indoors eating dinner or sleeping. But I do not ride at night on Fri or Sat after 9 pm cause thats when the drunks are out. Try riding with yellow lens glasses. makes a big difference in your ability to see.
