Default Slip on mufflers with removable baffles

Does anybody know if there are slip on mufflers that have removable baffles that has the wrapping around the baffles. I want to be able to get the exact sound I'm looking for by removing the packing.

I only have experience with Rush slipons. And I think they sound better with the packing than w/o.

ONE word to Ya....

RUSH........

Had mine for 4yrs (2" baffles) and I still LOVE them......They'll set off car alarms now... don't need anything louder....

U can get 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, or 2 1/2,,,, the 2' is great on softails with cams....

Don't expect numbers like a 2-1 system out of slip ons...

But,,,,,, U,,,,,,,,,, (IMO) can't beat the sound of them, And U don't or won't have to remove the packing as they will get louder after a couple K's miles on them...

I started to change them out 2yrs ago when I did cams for some 2-1,,,, but I just wont give up the sound of them for a few extra #'s of tq....and it wasn't because I couldn't afford it.......

Vance and Hines. The quiet baffles come with the fiberglass wrap.

I'm not so sure what everyone thinks is so great about the sound of Rush Mufflers. All I read on here was how great they are. Well I bought a set w/two inch baffles for my 08 Fat Bob and was absolutely disapointed.

You can take the baffles out, and they are wrapped with fiberglass. Wish I'd just put that money towards the FatCat I eventually got.

Maybe a set of BCT baffles might help. Rush mufflers were a waste of money for me, they looked ok, fit, finish, quality were great. They just sounded like crap.

Interesting product. Looks like it would be good if you were taking a road trip or riding in an "noise unfriendly" area.

Last time I went to Canada I put my stock pipes back on because I didn't want to take a chance on the bike getting impounded for being too loud.

Actually we do nearly every two weeks. Riding in very religious areas in the Netherlands on Sunday are good testings. Also riding in germany, where by way of speaking the police is waiting behind the border to stop you and penalize you when your pipes are too loud. We ride regularly in Germany and the only looks we got from the police were big smiles. We are never stopped for sound checks, still we have a very recognizable harley sound.
