Solo accident.
1973, Riding solo, playing road racer; left hand hairpin turn, too much speed. Bike ended up in someone's front yard (I only slid to the shoulder of the road. ) Torn jeans, scuffs on the leather jacket. Busted turn signal and clutch lever. My pride was injured more than anything.

Solo, somersaulted the bike 3 times, sent leather bodies skidding down hwy 19 in Missouri. Screw and tube tires don't mix. Broken bones for hubbie, soft tissue damage and grade 3 concussion for me. Took months of physio and the threat of me buying a puppy before his mojo kicked in and he got a replacement bike. With tubeless tires.

Three turns from home. Three very short blocks. Sand, gravel that I saw too late before using the front brake in the turn. Tire slid out from under me before I knew what was happening. Only saving grace was that it was my Honda.

I stopped for a stoplight, a fellow rider didn't see the light change (his head was turned), hit me in the right/rear corner bag area going roughly 40mph. We were both very lucky we weren't hurt badly.

All of the above

As a kid grew up riding dirt bikes, crashed many times racing (with other bikes, four wheelers, or all by my lonesome).

Coming home with the Sunday paper for Mom and Dad. It was a mini bike, I was 12, riding one -handed and she was going gooood. I hit a pot hole then a shallow ditch. Talked to God flying off. Woke up an ?, hour later and picked the paper that had blown all over the field. Rode home one handed again with the Sunday paper, much slower. Never could throw a baseball the same after that, never viewed life the same again either.
I am happy to be here - love to you all.
Now let me tell you about my auto wreck..., never mind. Good to be somewhere in this veil of tears. Love to all my wounded and still forward moving brothers and sisters. You know what I mean.

Couple buddies, back roads, excessive speed , 90 degree turn, guard rail = ICU (bruised lungs, broken back 3 places), totaled bike, and one p'd off insurance company. Ride with a little more thought these days.

Solo accident, just me with the wife on the back. First snow of the year after raining all day (ice under snow), dark as hell.

Couldn't see anything, got down to about 10 mph and touched the rear brake. Bike slid out from under us.

Broken cluch lever and scratched primary, stayed in a local hotel for the night.
