buy a dresser with warm and safe heated liner. or don't ride when it git cold.

The cold is just one there here in Orygun, it was so foggy yesterday morning you almost needed a stick to find the road, and, i met 2 guys on bikes, didn't envy them a bit. :]

Shields are great at highway speeds, plus they are warmer and great when its foggy it dont collect on your helmet shield. As for looks i realy cant tell about how it looks at 70mph.

no embarrassment with a shield and a good leather jacket helps much also....

I agree, if you ride a lot, you'll grow out of that sportster, just my 2 cents. Put your shield on and dress warm.
