Nobody stopped!!! broke down
man it really pissed me off. took my wifes shovel out for a test ride after gettin it all put back together and I lost my clutch about two miles from home. so I pull over and I'm wrenchin on the thing on the shoulder and freakin NOBODY stopped to see if I needed help. Probly 10 different harleys went flyin by me....
the road was a two lane 50mph speed limit, so I can't imagine they were scared of traffic. maybe things aren't the same anymore?
I stop to help others out, what bout u guys/gals?
btw I had to walk home and leave it, came back with a truck and picked it up.

I can understand cagers not stopping. They are probably a little frightened but, for bikers not to stop whether they're riding Harleys or Metrics is unforgiveable.

Biker brotherhood aint what they used to be, to damn many wanna be posers. If they did stop they would know the difference from a boxend wrench and a hammer!

Friend broke his drive belt yesterday and had to sit along side a four lane for almost two hours waiting for me to get there with a trailer. He said that five bikes stopped to check on them. One was a 300 pound guy on a 250 Honda rebel with a kid on the back. There was a cult-a-sac the other side of the fence from the highway and a guy that lived in one of the houses came over to say that if he could be of any asistance to let him know. Offered up his garage & tools if needed. I guess it's just a matter of where you have the misfortune of breaking down..
The flip side of that is a couple of years ago when we stopped, enroute to Myrtle Beach bike week, to help a guy & his wife. They had been stranded along side the road, standing in the sun for over 90 minutes waiting for a tow. We loaded their bike into our trailer and hauled them 60 or so plus miles into Myrtle Beach. Throughout the ride we listened to this bunghole belittle those that chose to trailer and bragging about how he never trailers. Run his mouth about it to the point we invited him to get out of the truck and his wife told him to shut up. Dropped him & his bike at the Harley Shop. Then he asks us to haul him & his wife around another 30 minutes to this hotel, and got $hitty when we told him to call a cab. Pretty much walked away from that one wondering if I'd ever stop again (I still do).

I broke down years ago on a honda CB350, It was nice that 1 guy stopped to see if he could help.
It is good when someone stops to help, but just don't expect that they should.
