Default Need some good riding glasses/goggles - I have chronic dry eye

Hey guys,

I have REALLY bad dry eye, and when I go riding on the highway, the wind seriously bothers my eyes BIG time. I bought some goggles at harley, that didn't work out to well.

So, I need some suggestions guys. I need some sort of glasses/goggles that will completely keep the wind out of my eyes.

Is there such a thing?! PLEASE, someone help me out here!

Adrian

Wiley X has a good selection. You want what they call the climate control series. go to their website, pick your model then google for cheaper prices. I use them after cataract surgery . If you google chronic dry eye you will find some websites that also recommend them. Expect to pay $70 to $100. Good luck.

I have just the opposite reaction with contacts. I have a pair of 7eye and Wiley X that are transitional but have issues with my eyes getting watered. Stopped at the local HD shop today and for $16.00 picked up a pair of goggles that do the job. They wrap or strap around your head and a very snug fit also yellow lenses which I like!!!!

I have the same problem. However, years ago I had my drainage ducts pluged so I could wear contacts. It didn't work and still can't wear them. You need something that will form a complete seal around your eyes. I use Garny's. They come with a prescription insert that snaps inside the goggles. The foam around the eyecups will form a total seal and you'll be fine. They look kinda strange, but hey, they work.

I did the same thing. You didn't say whether you wore any corrective lenses?

My VA eyeball Dr. recommended Systane eyedrops (Wally-World, Walgreen's, etc). They're the best thing I've found. I wear glasses and the simple combination of glasses and Systane works very well.

Good luck

For 6.95 plus shipping you can get decent goggles from Global Vision. I like the eliminators. They come in clear, tinted, mirrored, yellow, blue, etc... I like the mirrored clear and tinted. No wind at all. Might be worth trying for that price. I have used them for the last 4 years and love them. Good luck. Link below:

Link to ebay store that has all the global vision goggles:

Good luck,

I use the Wiley X SG-1, you can wear them as glasses or with a goggles strap and they come with clear and smoked interchangeable lenses. I got them on eBay new for $45.
