Default What would you buy? Bike....

I'm going to buy a second harley. Right now I have an 05 softail nightrain. I slapped some spring forks on the front and I love them.

My grandpa just passed away, we both rode together. He has an 06 superglide that I've decided to give to my sister. He also has an 06 street glide with a sidecar on it.

Before he passed he was thinking of a sporty. Here's my options.

Take the sidecar off the streetglide, and ride the glide

Buy a brand new bike, cross bones, sporty, whatever

Buy a used old bike, panhead, knuck. ect.

Thanks for opinions! Little more info, my great grandpa owned a Harley shop back in the 1930's, so we are into the old ones.

But grandpa used to say "they build the new ones for a reason".

Opinions?

SG all the way. You will have the best of both with a softail and a touring bike.

If you have a softail with a springer front end , the Street Glide woiuld compliment it as your touring bike for sure .

If it were me I'd sell it and get a pan or knuck since you already have a newer bike. But like others have said you'd have an awesome touring bike if you kept it. I don't really see a way you could go wrong on this one.

Why limit yourself to a H-D? There are a lot of awesome bikes out there.
